Overview

The IDEAL MS-OPS6M2-DV-WH is a passive infrared (PIR) occupancy and vacancy sensor switch designed for automatic lighting and fan control in residential and commercial applications. Operating at 120/277 VAC at 50/60 Hz, this switch supports 1-pole, 3-way, and multi-location wiring configurations. It delivers up to 6 amps for lighting loads and 3 amps at 1/10 HP for fan loads at 120 VAC. The sensor combines PIR motion detection with an adaptive switching algorithm that extends relay life and includes smart ambient light detection for more reliable auto-on and auto-off performance. This sensor switch fits standard 1-gang wall boxes and is suited for offices, classrooms, corridors, restrooms, and residential rooms where hands-free lighting control is needed. It can be configured for occupancy mode (auto-on/auto-off) or vacancy mode (manual-on/auto-off), making it applicable where energy codes require manual-on switching. Compatible load types include incandescent, halogen, electronic low voltage, magnetic low voltage, compact fluorescent, LED, electronic fluorescent, magnetic fluorescent, and fan loads. The gloss white finish suits standard residential and light commercial interiors. Wall plate is not included.
