Overview

The NORDIC PURE 12x24x1PM10C-2 is a dual-media pleated air filter combining a MERV 10 filtration layer fused with an activated carbon layer in a 12x24x1 nominal size, sold in a 2-pack. The MERV 10 rated media captures airborne particulates including dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and virus carriers. The activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), reducing household and smoke odors without significantly restricting airflow. The filter media is permanently electrostatically charged to attract and hold particles. The frame is constructed of moisture-resistant beverage board with a bonded metal mesh support grid for structural integrity. HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners install this filter in residential forced-air systems. This filter is suited for residential HVAC applications where both particulate control and odor reduction are priorities - particularly in homes with pets, smokers, or occupants with allergies. It is rated MERV 10, equivalent to MPR 1000, placing it above standard fiberglass, poly disposable, and washable filter types.
