Robertshaw Zone Control Panels

Overview

The Robertshaw 2701-003 is a SlimZone Deluxe Expander Module designed to increase the zone capacity of the Robertshaw 2701-002 SlimZone Deluxe zone control panel. This expander board, also known as the SZDEX, allows HVAC technicians and installers to scale a zoning system from three zones up to as many as seven zones, giving residential and light commercial systems greater flexibility and control over conditioned air distribution. Each 2701-003 expander board adds two additional zones to the base SlimZone Deluxe system. A total of two expander boards can be connected to a single 2701-002 control panel, bringing the maximum zone count to seven. Zone control systems like the SlimZone Deluxe are used in forced-air heating and cooling applications where multiple thermostats independently control dampers in different parts of a structure. Adding zones helps eliminate hot and cold spots, improve energy efficiency, and give occupants more precise temperature control in different rooms or floors. The 2701-003 expander module is powered directly by the SlimZone Deluxe zone control panel, so no separate power supply is required. Installation is straightforward for qualified HVAC professionals familiar with multi-zone control wiring. This board is a purpose-built accessory for the Robertshaw SlimZone Deluxe system and is not a standalone…
