URC Wireless Thermostat Remote Controls

Overview

The UNIVERSAL REMOTE MRF-260I is an addressable base thermostat operating on the 433 MHz frequency band, designed for use in wireless remote control systems for HVAC applications. It functions as a remote accessory base stat, enabling addressable communication between the thermostat and a compatible receiver or control system. The 433 MHz radio frequency allows for reliable wireless signal transmission without requiring a direct wired connection between the stat and the controlled equipment. Licensed HVAC technicians and controls specialists are the primary installers of this type of device in both residential and light commercial applications. The MRF-260I is suited for installations where running low-voltage thermostat wiring is impractical or cost-prohibitive, such as retrofit projects, older construction, or remote zones requiring independent temperature control. It integrates into wireless HVAC control architectures where addressable base stats are used to identify and communicate with specific zones or equipment within a multi-point system. The addressable design allows each unit to be individually identified within the network, making it appropriate for multi-zone setups managed through a central UNIVERSAL REMOTE control platform.
