Vornado Humidistats

Overview

The VORNADO HEAT HU1-0048-43 is an evaporative humidifier designed for residential spaces up to 300 square feet. It operates on a 3-speed fan system controlled by electronic push-button controls, giving the installer or end user precise airflow management without mechanical switches. An integrated electronic humidistat enables auto humidity control alongside multiple preset humidity settings, including a continuous run mode. The SimpleTank system simplifies water management by allowing easy filling and water level checks without removing the entire unit from service. Built-in side handles on the base make repositioning straightforward during seasonal setup or filter maintenance. This unit is suited for residential bedrooms, offices, and small common areas requiring supplemental humidity control. The evaporative design adds moisture through natural evaporation rather than ultrasonic or steam methods, making it a practical choice for dry-climate installations or winter heating seasons when indoor relative humidity drops. HVAC technicians and property maintenance professionals typically deploy this type of portable humidifier alongside forced-air heating systems to maintain occupant comfort levels.
