Overview

The R W LYALL 1453-91-4614-25 is an anodeless meter riser designed to transition underground polyethylene pipe to above-ground metallic pipe in natural gas, propane, and yard gas distribution systems. The riser ships with a Con-Stab ID Seal coupling for a secure stab-type connection at the polyethylene end, eliminating the need for cathodic protection or an anode rod. Tubing meets ASTM F1973 standards and is rated to 125 PSIG operating pressure. The machined adapter end is threaded 1 inch Male Threaded x 1 inch IPS for direct connection to standard metering equipment. Licensed gas plumbers and utility contractors are the primary installers of this component. This riser is used in residential and light commercial gas distribution applications where a service line transitions from below-grade SDR11 polyethylene pipe to an above-ground meter set. It is suited for natural gas distribution, propane gas distribution, and yard gas systems. The vertical run measures 30 inches and the horizontal run measures 16 inches, providing standard service-line geometry for typical meter-set installations.
