Overview

The HUNTER 44009230 is a 1-inch commercial-grade globe valve designed for demanding irrigation and water distribution systems. Built around a fabric-reinforced EPDM diaphragm and seat, it maintains consistent performance at operating pressures up to 220 psi. An integrated flow control feature allows technicians to fine-tune flow rates at the valve body without additional hardware. Constructed from glass-filled nylon, the valve body resists corrosion and handles high-velocity and fluctuating flow conditions. Licensed irrigation contractors and commercial plumbing professionals are the primary installers of this valve. This valve is suited for commercial irrigation systems, reclaimed water applications, and high-pressure distribution zones where reliability under variable flow and water quality conditions is required. The bonnet fasteners are designed to be loosened and tightened with common contractor tools, reducing service time in the field. An optional Filter Sentry accessory is available separately for installations involving dirty water sources such as ponds or reclaimed water supplies, keeping internal components free of debris without removing the valve from the line.
