Overview

The POOLGUARD PGRM-2 is a poolside intrusion alarm designed for in-ground swimming pools. Once mounted in the pool, it enters alarm-ready mode automatically and cannot be deactivated during normal operation - making it a passive, always-on safety device. The unit detects water disturbances consistent with a child entering the pool and sounds an 85-decibel horn at 10 feet. It operates on a single 9-volt battery with approximately one year of battery life and communicates with an included in-house remote receiver with a range of up to 200 feet. Licensed pool service professionals and safety inspectors are the primary installers of this device. The PGRM-2 is intended for residential in-ground pools up to 20 by 40 feet or 800 square feet in area. Its sensing technology is calibrated to reduce false alarms caused by wind, rain, or small surface objects. The included remote receiver plugs into a standard 12-volt power supply and provides an indoor audible alert when the poolside unit triggers. A low-battery indicator sounds at the poolside unit and is simultaneously indicated on the remote receiver, ensuring battery status is never missed.
