About this product
Automatic Whole-Home Backup. Power That Never Misses a Beat!
The LG SHB-G1 Automatic Backup Device (ABD) delivers reliable whole-home backup power when paired with the SHB-G1 inverter, keeping your home powered when the grid goes down. It automatically switches between grid and backup operation during outages so power continues without manual intervention. When a utility failure occurs, the ABD safely isolates your home from the grid and allows the inverter to supply power to your essential loads, helping you stay connected and protected.
Use Cases
Ideal for residential solar and storage systems requiring automatic whole-home backup power, particularly when paired with SHB-G1 inverter.
- Automatic Backup Power You Can Count On: Seamlessly switches from grid power to backup power the moment an outage occurs,no manual switching required.

- Smarter Energy Awareness: Features an integrated smart meter with support for up to four CTs, giving you clear insight into load usage and energy flow.
- Purpose-Built for Simple System Design: Supports one inverter per device, making system planning straightforward and reliable.
- Clean, Integrated Installation: Connects the main service panel, utility grid, and inverter AC output into one coordinated system for normal and backup operation.
